Beirut, Lebanon – Ambassador Mohamad El Zohbi held a formal meeting with the Lebanese Minister of Finance, Yassine Jaber, at Ain El Tineh this week. The diplomatic visit highlighted the strong ties between Lebanon and the Caribbean region, particularly the Republic of Antigua and Barbuda, where Ambassador El Zohbi serves.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed a number of important economic and financial matters, as well as areas of mutual interest between Lebanon and Caribbean nations. They addressed ways to strengthen fiscal cooperation and promote dialogue between institutions across both regions.
Minister Jaber praised the contributions of the Lebanese diaspora in the Caribbean and reaffirmed the importance of maintaining strong connections with Lebanese communities abroad. Ambassador El Zohbi conveyed the Caribbean community’s continued commitment to Lebanon and its development.
The meeting also underscored the role of diplomacy in enhancing Lebanon’s global relationships and in building bridges between Lebanese institutions and international partners.
