Beirut, Lebanon – Ambassador Mohamad El Zohbi held a formal meeting with the Lebanese Minister of Finance, Yassine Jaber, at Ain El Tineh this week. The diplomatic visit highlighted the strong ties between Lebanon and the Caribbean region, particularly the Republic of Antigua and Barbuda, where Ambassador El Zohbi serves.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed a number of important economic and financial matters, as well as areas of mutual interest between Lebanon and Caribbean nations. They addressed ways to strengthen fiscal cooperation and promote dialogue between institutions across both regions.
Minister Jaber praised the contributions of the Lebanese diaspora in the Caribbean and reaffirmed the importance of maintaining strong connections with Lebanese communities abroad. Ambassador El Zohbi conveyed the Caribbean community’s continued commitment to Lebanon and its development.
The meeting also underscored the role of diplomacy in enhancing Lebanon’s global relationships and in building bridges between Lebanese institutions and international partners.
السفير محمد الزعبي يلتقي بوزير المالية اللبناني ياسين جابر
بيروت، لبنان – عقد السفير محمد الزعبي اجتماعًا رسميًا مع وزير المالية اللبناني ياسين جابر في عين التينة هذا الأسبوع. وجاءت الزيارة الدبلوماسية لتسلّط الضوء على متانة العلاقات بين لبنان ومنطقة الكاريبي، ولا سيما جمهورية أنتيغوا وباربودا التي يمثل فيها السفير الزعبي المصالح اللبنانية.
بحث الجانبان خلال اللقاء عددًا من القضايا الاقتصادية والمالية الهامة، بالإضافة إلى مجالات التعاون المشترك بين لبنان ودول الكاريبي. كما ناقشا سبل تعزيز التعاون المالي وتطوير الحوار بين المؤسسات في كلا الجانبين.
وأشاد الوزير جابر بدور الجالية اللبنانية في الكاريبي، مؤكدًا أهمية الحفاظ على روابط قوية مع اللبنانيين المقيمين في الخارج. من جانبه، نقل السفير الزعبي التزام الجالية الكاريبية المستمر بدعم لبنان ومسيرته التنموية.
وأكد اللقاء أهمية العمل الدبلوماسي في تعزيز علاقات لبنان الدولية وبناء جسور التعاون بين المؤسسات اللبنانية والشركاء في الخارج.
